Keystroke offers a wide array of graphic-design services to complement its typesetting and editorial functions. This means book covers can be provided alongside the books themselves, produced according to publishing-industry standards. It also means images of any kind can be created, improved or corrected prior to inclusion in the finished page proofs.
Our in-house designers use the latest Apple Mac workstations and Adobe Creative Suite software. Line artwork can be redrawn or improved using Adobe Illustrator. Meanwhile, Photoshop is employed for work on photographs and halftones, including colour correction, manipulation and conversion to mono. Image files can be converted into various formats on request.
With skilled artists on site, we can also produce freehand drawings, cartoons, sketches, and conceptual art to order. Books containing maps, meanwhile, will benefit from our cartography skills.
Our graphic-design staff pay close attention to detail, no matter how big or small the task. Meanwhile, keeping everything in-house adds to the overall efficiency and smooth running of our production system.
